Other Info: There will be water, juice, cookies, other snacks available after donating & an incentive (TBD).  We currently have five appointments scheduled, but have availability to see 27 donors.  We need 22 more!

 Just some facts to consider when you’re thinking of donating blood:

 …70% of us will need a blood transfusion during our lifetime?

…there is no substitute for human blood?

…one donation can help as many as three area patients?

…Less than 3% of the Las Vegas population donates which leaves the valley’s 26+ hospitals with frequent, critical blood shortages?

…Donors can give whole blood as often as every eight weeks but on average give 1.5 times a year?

 …United Blood Services, Las Vegas, must collect over 300 units of blood from volunteer donors each day to meet area patient needs?

…Blood donation only takes approximately 1 hour?

…Blood products are used for some cancer patients, burn victims, accident victims, premature babies, regularly scheduled surgeries, & more…
