Veronica Norman
I am 39 years old. I was born in Chile, and I have lived in the USA for 20 years, in New York and Las Vegas.
Over ten years ago, Jesus changed my life forever. I was saved the prior year but only when I gave birth to my children did I see God’s hand in my life.
Lenny and I have been married for fourteen years; he is a man of God and an incredible husband and father. We have a son Kendell (10) and a daughter Abigail (8).
The Church has been a second home to us for over seven years. I have served in various ministries, but my personal favorite is Real Women. Here I have met wonderful ladies over the years, whose messages and testimonies have helped me in my walk with God.
I love to take road trips with my family, and travel in general; I like action movies and good comedy, fashion, target shooting and “comfortable outdoor recreation.”

I am totally 100% fully in love with Jesus Christ!
He saved my life, and gave me the most incredible man on earth whom I have been married to for nine years, but we’ve been together for sixteen. We have four amazing kids who love Jesus. I have been walking with the Lord for about eleven years and attending The Church for eight years.
My life has been a total transformation. I have a sordid past, to say the least, but God has forgiven me of so much and given me the opportunity to share that love and forgiveness with others.
I love to minister to women. I love to cook, and play cards (I’m kind of competitive). Call me. I will make you dinner! Uh, if you play cards . . .
Looking forward to becoming a Proverbs 31 woman this season at Real Women. Come connect with G.L.A.M. (Generous. Loving. Anointed, Moms) and be everything God wants you to be!

WEDNESDAYS AT 7:00pm AT THE CHURCH CONFERENCE ROOM

Joyce Baker
I lived in Lakeland, Florida all my life. I’ve worked in management at several restaurants and after I retired from driving a school bus for 25 years for Polk County Schools, I moved to Henderson, NV to be with my youngest daughter and her family in May of 2005. I have one son, two daughters, one stepson, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
I was saved and came to know Jesus when I was nine years old. I have been a teacher and leader in different areas of the church. Then I left the church for eleven years, but God did not leave me.
I joined The Church of South Las Vegas five years ago. God keeps using me. Now I know what it means, “Saved to Serve.” We are all called to do something with what we have. Look at your hands; they don’t have nail scars in them, but they are JESUS’ HANDS. SO USE THEM. We were saved to serve, not to sit.
Fall in love with God.

I am 40 something and I’ve been married to my husband Conrad for 22 years. I met Conrad when I was “on the road” singing in a band. We traveled and sang together for ten years before starting our family. We have two children together Joe (16) and Lauren (13), and Conrad had two before I met him Jonas (31) and Erika (29). They were 4 and 5 when we met. We have seven awesome, wonderful grandkids . . . I know—we don’t look that old!
I was raised in church and saved when I was seven. My love for singing led me through many years of serving the Lord and many years of serving myself, when I went out on the road at 17, singing and traveling in bands all over the world. I began to find my way back to the Lord after going through some horrific storms and I found that “He was there all the time,” (a line from one of my favorite Clint Brown songs, “It Was You.”) My husband followed after a time and we began serving in music ministry.
After moving to Las Vegas from Orlando in 2000, we became more dedicated in leading worship and I absolutely fell in love with the Lord and his call on my life. I love to sing his praises and music runs through my veins. We came to The Church in 2007 and we love being a part of what God is doing in this city. I am excited and honored to be a part of Real Women and I know that He has great plans to use for his glory what the devil intended for evil in my life.

Tara Alexander
I am privileged to be the wife of Mark Alexander, and we have two active boys, Marley (14) and Spencer (8). We have lived in Las Vegas for over 12 years. I was born and raised in a small town in Wyoming. The first time I pulled into Las Vegas, the traffic was stopped with policemen everywhere and a man was handcuffed on the ground. I thought, “What the heck have I done!” Although this was very different from the place I was used to, Las Vegas is the place where I met Jesus and began my love affair with Him.
I graduated from UNLV in 2002 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Currently, I am employed with an engineering firm as a Project Manager and have been privileged to work on several projects within the valley. I’m thrilled to see a subdivision I designed come to fruition, or see a drainage system working when we get our rare downpours. My boys think I am capital NERD, but sometimes I can talk them into getting in the car with me when it rains, to look at drainage structures.
We attended our first service at The Church in the summer of 2009 after having been part of a home church ministry for several years. After the service, my husband and son looked at each other and both said, “We are coming back here.” Since we joined The Church, the presence of the Holy Spirit has changed, and continues to change, our family and each one of us individually in such profound ways. I can honestly say I did not really know the Holy Spirit before coming to this church.
My relationship with Christ is amazing; I’m constantly growing, changing, and evolving. It seems like the depths of what I can experience is endless, and just when I learn one thing, He moves me on to the next. Whenever I get discouraged in MY self and MY attitudes and MY decisions, the Lord is always faithful to remind me of this: …He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
I am so grateful to serve a God who is not removed but intimately involved in my life, and will finish the work he began in me, regardless of ME.
